At Tom Hawkins Elementary School, we pride ourselves on being a close-knit community where teachers, parents, students, and administrators share mutual respect and care. As a TK-8 campus, we are dedicated to creating a safe, supportive, and engaging environment where our Huskies can grow academically, athletically, and socially.

Get Involved

Parent and community involvement is the heartbeat of our school. We invite all families to bring their time, talents, and ideas to our campus through several key avenues:

  • Hawkins Parent Faculty Association (HPFA): Join our active HPFA to help support classroom needs, plan school-wide activities, and organize incredible events that bring our families together.
  • School Site Council (SSC): Play an active role in shaping our school's future by helping guide our academic goals, reviewing safety plans, and advising on resource allocation.
  • English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC): Parents of our English Learners are encouraged to join ELAC to advise on programs and ensure our multilingual students thrive.
  • Campus Volunteering: Whether you are chaperoning a field trip, helping out in the library, or assisting in the classroom, we love having our families on campus!

Student Leadership & Programs

We encourage our Huskies to be active leaders and participants in their school community. Students can get involved in several exciting extracurriculars, including:

  • Associated Student Body (ASB): Our student leaders work collaboratively with staff to plan engaging campus events like spirit days, Fun Fridays, rallies, and school dances.
  • Hawkins Athletics: We offer a robust after-school sports program for our upper grades, including cross country, volleyball, basketball, flag football, and track and field.
  • Band & Music: Students have the opportunity to develop their musical talents and perform at school events and local showcases.
